CLA Foundation Grant Press Release

WBEC-East Receives funding from CLA Foundation.

Philadelphia, PA — The Women’s Business Enterprise Center East (WBEC-East) is thrilled to announce it has received a grant of $5,000 from the CLA Foundation. This grant is a testament to WBEC-East’s outstanding work and will enable WBEC-East to continue its mission of supporting entrepreneurs with essential training, mentorship, visibility, and access to capital assistance.

“The CLA Foundation believes in the power of education, employment, and entrepreneurship to transform lives,” said Susan Carter, executive director of the CLA Foundation. “Our grants are designed to support organizations that embody these principles and strive to create lasting impacts within their communities. By funding initiatives that promote these three E’s, we’re helping to build a brighter future for all and further our commitment to be connected to the communities in which we live and work.”

The grant will support WBEC-East’s mission of advancing economic empowerment through business development programs, networking opportunities, strategic community partnerships, and business pitch events designed to help entrepreneurs grow and scale their businesses.

“By supporting this initiative, CLA Foundation is helping remove barriers to business success and expanding pathways to economic mobility for entrepreneurs across the region,” says Liz Walsh, President of WBEC-East. “This grant recognizes our collaborative commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and will help advance our mission of providing training, mentorship, visibility, and access-to-capital resources for small businesses.”
